AfricRemit is a Canadian fintech platform enabling the African diaspora to send money home to Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and beyond — at competitive rates with zero transfer fees.
As a Frontend Engineer, I built the web platform from the ground up using Angular and TypeScript, covering three core product areas: the end-to-end payment and transfer flow, user authentication and onboarding, and the transaction dashboard. I worked closely with the backend team to integrate REST APIs for real-time exchange rates, transaction status tracking, and secure payment processing — translating complex financial flows into a clean, trustworthy user experience. The platform currently serves thousands of users across the Canadian diaspora community and holds a 4-star rating on Trustpilot with over 840 reviews.
